Public Relations Internship Opportunity
Public Relations Internship Available at Eternity Web:
Eternity Web is looking for a motivated public relations intern for the fall semester. This internship is perfect for a public relations, journalism, communication or marketing major, or someone who is passionate about writing and public relations. We have a funky, creative and efficient working environment and are looking for someone that fits in with our team.
TASKS & RESPONSiBILITIES:
• Manage, write and edit Press Releases on various events and Topics
• Manage our Twitter Account and write relevant Blog Entries for our website
• Work on Viral Marketing through sites like Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIN
• Use and research the newest online technologies and programs and write about them
• Help write a weekly column on Web & Business Technology for local newspapers
• Help write and publish bi-monthly newsletters for email campaigns
NON-PROFIT WORK:
• Each semester a team of interns will work together to create a web site and other marketing solutions for a local non-profit organization of their choosing. The public relations intern will be in charge of writing press releases for announcing the project and for the launch of the final product. The intern will also write a feature story about the non-profit organization for the blog.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
• Junior or Senior at local college passionate about writing for new media, public relations, new technology and helping the community
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Must be able to work efficiently as part of a team and independently
• Self-motivated, persistent, patient, detail-oriented, trustworthy and honest
• Must be punctual and able to meet deadlines
• Also must have reliable transportation and be a non-smoker
• Majoring in public relations, journalism, communication or marketing is a plus but not required
• Marketing and Web Site knowledge is helpful
