While attending the Tri-State Chamber's 2009 Trade Festival on March 22, 2009, Eternity Web held a contest to find the "Most Sucky" web site in the Tri-State region. We would then save this person from their own embarrassment by giving them a free web site makeover. JiffyPromos.com won this contest, and now the transformation is revealed!

Your web site is a reflection of your business; you can't afford to have it leave a bad first impression to potential customers. Your web site needs to show customers not only what you do and who you are, but why you are the best. There are two pieces to this puzzle: design and usability.

The design is the first impression--that "wow" factor. We all know about first impressions; just as you wouldn't go to a job interview in your 20-year-old torn-and-tattered dirty PJs, don't let the design of your web site reflect poorly on your company.

Usability comes second, after a customer arrives at your site and makes the decision to stay and learn more. It is important at this moment that your customer can find exactly what they are looking for and can get to it easily.

In the case of JiffyPromos.com, Eternity took a site that not only had a boring and sucky design, but was also difficult to use, and revamped it to be eye catching and professional, a site that inspires consumer confidence.  Things are easier for customers to find, and business is easier to transact, and overall the whole site looks great, making users want to stay, without taking away from the ease of functionality.

BEFORE:

This design is plain. But being plain isn't enough to make your web site sucky. What made this site design truly sucky, is that upon first glance, you can't tell what Jiffy Promos does! You only have a moment to capture the attention of the user, and a blah-design like this won't capture anything except a yawn. Even worst, the site colors used do not match Jiffy Promo's company colors, image or mission. The pinkish/purple bar on the right makes it appear as though there is navigation missing, and with so much white space, the entire site seems off balance.

AFTER:

With the new design, we paired colors that are reflective of Jiffy Promos, with a design layout that is both eye-pleasing and functional. Right on the front page you can easily find everything you are looking for a first glance. Most importantly, it is easy to customers to contact Jiffy Promos, which is at the heart of Jiffy Promos business strategy.
